This exhibition, featuring paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs and prints by some of the greatest European artists from the fifteenth to twenty-first century, will examine the figure of the artist through the lens of three core themes: portraits of artists, the artist at work, and playing a role.
Carol Sawyer: The Natalie Brettschneider Archive will present the
latest findings of an ongoing research project that reconstructs the life and work of the genre-defying fictional artist Natalie Brettschneider through the use of photographs, text, archival materials, video and music recitals.
